In January 2005 the King's Head was devastated by the worst
floods in Cumbria in living memory (the same floods that paralysed
Carlisle). The hotel was closed for 4 months while an extensive
refurbishment took place. Within 4 months of opening we were
awarded the prestigious "Pub of the Season" by CAMRA.
We invite you to experience our new improved environment.
